Process 1 - Topographical Background Effect

 For my tutorial, I chose to experiment with a topographical theme as I envision naming different locations in my PSA. I want to do my motion graphic on the smuggling of antiquities and illicit trafficking of cultural property from specific locations associated with UNESCO. I figured the topographical theme paired with text is a good way to conceptualize the locations in a vague manner. There is a way to make the text surface out of the unique effect which I plan to explore in my next iteration. This is a complicated technique with many additional effects and ways to fit it to your theme. It also took a while to render :). Here is the link to the tutorial I followed.
